I attended a meeting at Scotstoun last week to learn about the new process for ordering tickets for matches at Murrayfield. Initially there is a bit of hassle registering, but thereafter I think the process is much improved. Tickets will be e-mailed to you. You can store them on your smart phones and have them scanned at the gates on match days. (Perhaps take a hard copy for the first visit). The SRU say the sytem is compliant with the latest GDPR legislation although one person challenged this at the meeting and the SRU promised to investigate his concerns. The process is as follows: 1 Initially everyone who is not currently registered needs to register at

to obtain a six digit membership number. (If do not know your registration number, log on and you will find your six digit number under "my account".) Once you have registered, if you wish, the SRU will send you details of other games/events which may be of interest to you and will also earn commission for the club. ie Warriors matches or concerts at Murrayfield. You can still apply without registering. When the SRU receives the club's order someone will phone you to talk you through the registration process. 2 Complete the application form in the downloads section which is now editable. If you struggle to "digitally sign" the form just leave it blank. 3 Send/e-mail the form to me and I will collate all the applications and forward them onto the SRU. If you wish to sit beside someone else from the club, let me know when you send me the form. 4 Once tickets have been confirmed I will be looking for prompt payment. The tickets will be e-mailed to you at least two weeks before the appropriate fixture. If you wish to transfer the tickets to someone else, just forward the tickets on to them. The important date is that the attached form needs to be completed and returned to me by August 12th. Details of the ticketing arrangements for the home 6 nations games will be available late August and away games when they become available from the host unions. Arrangements for ordering "away" and "groups and schools" tickets remain unchanged. Late applications will be placed on a waiting list and then you will be invited to apply for them via the clubs url when the SRU have processed all applications.
