It's with great regret that we note the passing of Harry Stokes. Harry was a youth coach at the club for over a decade and helped develop a generation of players. He was tireless in his efforts for the club devoting himself to making his squad the best it could be. He was also a larger than life character who will be sadly missed by the players he coached, their parents and those of us who were lucky enough to coach with him. Harry leaves a wife and two sons and all of us at Dalziel RFC send our condolences and best wishes to them. The club and the world is a better place for Harrys contribution. The funeral will be held at Holytown Crematorium at 12noon on Tuesday 6th February, then to the United Services Club in Motherwell. The family have requested no flowers at the crematorium, but that you wear casual wear befitting Harry.
