Dalziel 1st XV 14 v 32 Stirling County
Both teams took the field in bright sunshine to contest the third cup match of the season. Supporters were a bit thin on the ground but those in attendance witnessed a good match with Dalziel once again improving on each match.

It was close but no cigar!!
Dalziel continued their league campaign visiting Ardrossan who lie in 3rd place and are in the mix for one of the two promotion spots. The conditions were excellent for running rugby, however both teams struggled to play well after the long layoff. The match was not helped by a somewhat inconsistent display from a whistle happy referee!

Ardrossan started the better and had most of the territory a...

Dalziel 1st XV 8 v 10 Howe of Fife
Having not played for several weeks Dalziel travelled to Fife hoping to get their league campaign back on track. Howe wisely moved the match to Madras’s drier pitches at St Andrews, this guaranteed the match would go ahead in what turned out to be dreadful conditions.

Dalziel from the kick off dominated proceedings and kept Howe on the back foot for most of the half. The Fife side however were ...

Dalziel 1st XV 20 v 29 Cartha Queens Park
Dalziel continued their league campaign at Cartha on Saturday, and after a good weeks training and game analysis were confident they could take something from the match.

The Motherwell men got off to the worst possible start and conceded a try after one minutes play. This stunned them into action and by 10 minutes the score was level at 5 points each after Anton Mitchell scored a well worked try...
