| On Sunday 22/04 Dalziel U16 squad defeated West of Scotland (Milngavie) to win the West Plate final trophy at Hamilton Palace Sports Grounds. The previous 2 encounters with these teams had gone Dalziels way but in no way were they complacent. The Heuwelkruin School from Polokwane have been South African national schools champions in the recent past and have Provincial level players within their squad. | The 3rd xv travelled to Old Anniesland to play in the play off final of the west reserve league on Saturday. With an early kick off expectation was high that they would achieve back to back promotion a bright opening spell brought 2 quick score for Anton Mitchell and Simon Baillie. As the 1st and 2nds traveled across the forth to Fife, the 3rd XV stayed at home for thier 4rth home game of the season. The visitors Stewartry 2nd xv, and both were looking to get to the play off final against Helensburgh who had a walk over to the final as Cambuslang were unable to field a team.

For only the third time this season the the 3rds had a home game. Cambuslang came calling in the hope that a win would give them pole position for the play offs. Right from the kick off the 3s set out their stall by starting at a frantic pace. Neil Simpson ran a superb angle to create the first chance.

Dalziel Under 18s wrought severe revenge on a weak Killie team who had defeated Dalziel earlier in the season in the league. Kilmarnock had gone on to qualify for the National Cup competition by coming third in the West Regional league and the Dalziel young bucks were out to overturn that early season defeat.

| The dazzlers took the short run to GHA on Saturday in the hope that a win will keep them in the hunt for a play off place. | Within roughly the first 5 minutes of the game kicking off, Dalziel had put their first points on the board with a spectacular try from Kris Watters.
