| This year Dalziel is going to run their own 7's festival at the club on Saturday May the 25th. On this day we will run both a men's and a women's competition. Each of these will have 8 teams taking part. The whole club will be coming together to contribute to the festival and the U18 squad as been asked to provide 16 players to act as volunteer liaison officers. We have been drawn as the Home side in this significant fixture.
There will be a £5 entry fee for all adults but children are free.
The SRU will be appointing the officials which I believe will include Assistant Refs (TJ's in old money).
The winner will remain in the Championship league set up, the loser will drop to the relevant Regional League.

Dalziel travelled to the south side of Glasgow to play their final game of the league season against old foes Whitecraigs. Knowing that their relegation rivals Dunfermline had completed their season the week before, Dalziel had to avoid a 90 point defeat to ensure that they would face Perthshire in a relegation playoff.

Dalziel 2nds played West of Scotland at Dalziel Park. As with all year it was a hard ask , with not many training lack of fitness is our enemy. Dalziel are playing good rugby in places but lack consisitency in that area. This shows up in tackle area where we go too high and are missing a lot to our detriment.

We are running a bus to the play off game v Perthshire. This game will be at Stirling County with a 3 pm kick off. Anyone wanting to go please add your name. The thirds are also playing so some players will be required to fulfill this fixture. Closing at noon Thursday will confirm bus size Thursday afternoon.

Grant Stewart has been once again been named on the bench for Scotland Under-18s for their match against Ireland tomorrow afternoon (2pm kickoff).
