John Harris (centre), Callum McGarrity (Centre), Kris Watters (back row) and Antony Mitchell (FB) are all training with the initial Glasgow U 17 squad. This squad is still to be subject to some cuts but it is hoped that our lads stand a good chance of final selection. Scottish Rugby Union visits Motherwell!
The Scottish Rugby Board meets in Motherwell today - in the heart of an area where a vivid partnership between volunteers, the governing body and the local authority is opening up opportunities for wider participation in rugby.

"It makes a lot of sense for us to hold our meeting in North Lanarkshire today, given that the relationship we enjoy with clubs, volunteers and the Council here is very mu...

Dalziel 1st XV 3 v 43 Falkirk
After a dismal defeat to East Kilbride in their last game, Dalziel returned to league action on Saturday with one basic aim - to play some good rugby. Unfortunately, their opponents were league leaders Falkirk and given their unbeaten league record, gaining a victory was always going to be a tough task.

The Dalziel side who took to the field responded to their critics with a wholehearted, dynamic...

Dalziel 1st XV 3 v 20 East Kilbride
This defeat by East Kilbride was Dalziel’s worst performance of the season by a long way. EK were the better side but only because Dalziel’s players never got out of the starting blocks. Dalziel had rearranged its back division to try and give it more direct penetration. Regular stand off Andy Hill moved to scrum half, Caleb Hogg moved to full back and centre Barry Turnbull came into... More...

Dalziel Under 16s 31 v 23 GHA
Dalziel Under 16's finished their league campaign with an emphatic victory at Braidholm this Sunday. Due to a lack of props at GHA, the game was played with uncontested scrums. This took away a significant element of Dalziel's forward play, however, right from the start Dalziel, playing with the sun in their eyes took play up to the GHA 22 and spent 8 minutes camped on their line. However, after b... More...

Dalziel 1st XV 16 v 8 Cambuslang
Dalziel continued their league campaign on Saturday when they welcomed local rivals Cambuslang to Dalziel Park. Having not played each other at 1st XV level for a number of seasons, the match was sure to bring these old rivalries back to the fore and produce an entertaining game of rugby.

After being on the receiving end of some strong criticism following their previous weeks performance, a more...
