Dalziel 1st XV 46 v 8 Ellon
Dalziel continued there league leading form with a sparkling display of running rugby on Saturday at Dalziel Park

With Ellon lying in third position, this was a game Dalziel had to win to maintain their lead in Division one. Ellon, who were relegated from Premier 3 last season, would surely prove the sternest of opposition that Dalziel had met so far this season, but, as has happened in the prev...

Dalziel 1st XV 36 v 0 Murrayfield Wanderers
This was a comprehensive home win for Dalziel made even more satisfying by the fact that in scoring six tries Dalziel secured the all important bonus try. After three games, three wins and two bonus points Dalziel sit atop National League 1.

The Edinburgh side had a big pack of forwards with two huge second rows locking out the scrum and in the initial exchanges Wanderers had the better of the se...

Dalziel 1st XV 18 v 13 Linlithgow
Dalziel last played Linlithgow in an epic Scottish Cup Shield semi final two seasons ago and won a hard fought match. The match last Saturday was equally hard fought with Dalziel just edging it. In fact for the last five minutes the game was played within the Dalziel twenty two metre area with Linlithgow throwing everything at Dalziel and despite giving away three successive penalties Dalziels def... Dalziel 1st XV 36 v 7 Berwick
Dalziel finished their league campaign with a five try victory in a re arranged match against Berwick played at Dalziel Park last Friday night. The bonus point ensured Dalziel finished third in the league just behind Dumfries who were promoted to Premiership 3 despite Dalziel having beaten them home and away this season. The wet conditions made handling difficult but some of Dalziels tries were ou... More...

Dalziel 1st XV 34 v 24 Cambuslang
Dalziel had two objectives for this match against county rivals Cambuslang. Win the game and score at least four tries to secure the all important bonus point. They achieved their objective but with second place Dumfries also winning Dalziel now find themselves five points adrift with each team having two more games to play.

Scrum half Andy McLaren failed a last minute fitness test and his place i...

Dalziel 1st XV 17 v 23 Hawick YM
Hawick YMs victory earned them an away quarter final tie against former Premier One & Scottish Cup winners Glasgow Hawks. Dalziel could have won the cup tie but basic schoolboy errors cost Dalziel 15 points. Prior to leaving the dressing room minutes before kick off Dalziels coach Jimmy Sinclair gave his players a stirring team talk conveying to them individually and collectively what they needed ... Dalziel 1st XV 31 v 19 Annan
Dalziel kept their slim hopes for promotion alive with a workmanlike victory against Annan who lie third bottom in National League one. However they had to come from behind late in the match to secure the win and the all important bonus point and that is what separates Dalziel and second placed Dumfries - five bonus points. Both teams have played nineteen matches and both have won thirteen matches... More...

Dalziel 1st XV 20 v 15 East Kilbride
Dalziel got the victory they needed but missed out on the all important bonus point. Dalziel played East Kilbride three weeks ago at home and won by fourteen points to nil and after last weeks demolition job of RHC scoring eight tries it was hoped that Dalziel would continue in their recent try scoring form.

However a very young EK team playing for each other and with some degree of skill had Dal...

Dalziel 1st XV 49 v 10 RHC
This was by far Dalziels most emphatic and convincing win of the season. They scored eight tries four in each half and in doing so gained a valuable bonus point which now sees them sitting third in the league nine points behind second placed Dumfries but Dalziel have a game in hand.

Royal High Corstorphone (RHC) beat Dalziel at Dalziel Park this season and Barnton has not always been a happy hun...

Dalziel 1st XV 14 v 0 East Kilbride
Having disposed of promotion hopefuls Murrayfield Wanderers the previous week and in doing so scoring four tries and gaining a valuable bonus point it was hoped Dalziel could achieve a similar result against county rivals East Kilbride and in doing so consolidating on their fourth place position.

Injuries to prop Stephan Findlay and centre Fraser Duguid saw Craig Lewis and Jamie Hillis come into ...
