Dalziel 1st XV 14 v 32 Stirling County
Both teams took the field in bright sunshine to contest the third cup match of the season. Supporters were a bit thin on the ground but those in attendance witnessed a good match with Dalziel once again improving on each match.

Stirling, a league above Dalziel, and heading for Premier 1 started the stronger and were rewarded on 7 minutes when their wing cut a lovely angle to go under the posts. T...

Dalziel 1st XV 6 v 16 Peebles
Dalziel travelled to Peebles on Saturday to play their second cup match of the season. Despite the very wet weather the Peebles pitch was in very good condition and the crowd starved of rugby recently looked forward to a good match.

Dalziel with some changes to recent lineups started the better of the two sides and commanded both ball and territory in the early exchanges. An excellent cross kick ...

It was close but no cigar!!
Dalziel continued their league campaign visiting Ardrossan who lie in 3rd place and are in the mix for one of the two promotion spots. The conditions were excellent for running rugby, however both teams struggled to play well after the long layoff. The match was not helped by a somewhat inconsistent display from a whistle happy referee!

Ardrossan started the better and had most of the territory a...

Dalziel 1st XV 8 v 10 Howe of Fife
Having not played for several weeks Dalziel travelled to Fife hoping to get their league campaign back on track. Howe wisely moved the match to Madras’s drier pitches at St Andrews, this guaranteed the match would go ahead in what turned out to be dreadful conditions.

Dalziel from the kick off dominated proceedings and kept Howe on the back foot for most of the half. The Fife side however were ...

Dalziel 2nd XV 22 v 15 Musselburgh
The wet weather resulted in Dalziel Park becoming unplayable and all games cancelled meant that the clubs focus moved to the 2nds game at Musselburgh.

Dalziel 1st XV 0 v 10 Boroughmuir
Dalziel started their cup campaign against Premier 1 side Boroughmuir on Saturday.

The weather conditions were dreadful but to the credit of the ground staff the pitch was in very good condition and both sides took the field for the first meeting between the clubs.

Dalziel 1st XV 20 v 29 Cartha Queens Park
Dalziel continued their league campaign at Cartha on Saturday, and after a good weeks training and game analysis were confident they could take something from the match.

The Motherwell men got off to the worst possible start and conceded a try after one minutes play. This stunned them into action and by 10 minutes the score was level at 5 points each after Anton Mitchell scored a well worked try...

Conditions were good for the visit of Haddington on Saturday and a large crowd gathered round the pitch to cheer on the teams.
