Dalziel 1st XV 36 v 12 Orkney
Dalziel welcomed Orkney to Dalziel Park for an early kick off in BT National League 3 match.

Dalziel started strongly, and after a turnover, the ball was released to Ryan Burrell who sent off down the wing. At the break down, Orkney strayed offside, and gave Andrew Glover a chance at goal. The centre stepped up and converted the kick to put Dalziel 3-0 up after 7 minutes.

From the restart, Dalz...

Dalziel 1st XV 12 v 40 St Boswells
Dalziel welcomed St Boswells to Dalziel Park for the fourteenth round of their BT National League 3 campaign.

Dalziel kicked off, and looked to have won early possession with a turn over, but play was halted due to an offside infringement. This allowed St Boswells the opportunity to move play into the Dalziel half.

From a St Boswells’ scrum, the ball was shipped wide, and full back Keddie ran ...

Six Try Dalziel Dominate Livingston
Dalziel welcomed Livingston to Dalziel Park for the first game of 2017 in BT National League 3.

Livingston kicked off, but within the first three minutes had given away two penalties, allowing Andrew Glover to step up and put Dalziel into an early 3-0 lead.

Soon after, Dalziel had their first try of the afternoon. A Livingston penalty for offside gave Dalziel a lineout metres from the try line....

Dalziel 1st XV 3 v 49 Dumfries
Dalziel travelled to Park Farm to play Dumfries in the next round of their BT National League 3 campaign.

Dalziel started the game strongly, with both Gary Thornton and Andrew Glover making powerful runs into the Dumfries half. However, the Dumfries defence was outstanding and were keeping Dalziel at bay. Play swung towards the Dalziel half, and within two phases, Dumfries had a penalty on the D...

Dalziel 1st XV 37 v 0 Greenock Wanderers
Dalziel welcomed Greenock Wanderers to Dalziel Park on Saturday for Round 12 of their BT National 3 campaign. This weekend marked the start of the second half of the season and so gave Dalziel a chance to avenge the last minute defeat at Fort Matilda in September.

Early in the game Greenock had a penalty shot at goal, but the attempt fell short.

Dalziel were dominant in defence, and managed to ...

Dalziel 1st XV 17 v 29 RHC
After a three week break for the Autumn Internationals, Dalziel travelled through to Edinburgh to play RHC in round 11 of their BT National 3 League campaign. With RHC sitting only 5 points ahead of Dalziel, and both teams looking to increase the gap on 10th place Perthshire, a tasty encounter was to be expected.

From a set scrum on the half way line, Dalziel won the ball, and Gary Thornton picke...

Lasswade late show denies Dalziel
Dalziel welcomed Lasswade to Dalziel Park for round 10 of their BT National 3 campaign. After a disappointing 18-18 draw the previous week, Dalziel knew they had to get something from this game to increase the gap between themselves and 10th place Perthshire.

Lasswade kicked off and put immediate pressure on to Dalziel. Dalziel managed to secure the ball and spun it out wide to Darren Moon. Moon ...

Dalziel leave it late to end Haddington winning run.
Dalziel welcomed Haddington to Dalziel Park for another BT National League 3 clash. Haddington were coming off a 5 game winning streak, while Dalziel had lost their previous 2 games. The previous two games between these sides had been closely fought, until the last 20 minutes when Haddington’s superior fitness kicked in and they ran away with the game. With this being a focus at training during ... More...

Dalziel Outdone by High-flying Highland
Dalziel welcomed Highland to Dalziel Park on Saturday in BT National League 3. Dalziel were looking to build on their win over St Boswells the previous week, while Highland were sitting near the top of the league having only lost once this season so far.

Dalziel kicked off and immediately Highland attacked down the far side of the pitch. The ball was fed back across the pitch and it looked like R...

Dalziel continue winning run with big win in the borders.
Dalziel travelled to the borders to play high flying St Boswells. Confidence was high in the squad after two good wins, but they were coming up against a team who hadn’t lost at home in over 3 and a half years.

Things looked ominous for Dalziel when Dean Keddie was given two easy shots at goal early on to put his side into a 6-0 lead. However, Dalziel hit back however with a well worked team tr...
