Dalziel secure National League status with 6 try win.
The First XV welcomed Hawick YM to Dalziel Park for the final game of the 2014/15 season. Everything was resting on this game for both teams, as the winner would take the spoils in the relegation dog fight, and the loser would be banished to play regional rugby the following season.

Prior to the game, the team had a Skype based team-talk with head coach Stewart Milne, minutes before his wedding. ...

Baxendale and Moon shine but King steals the show.
Dalziel welcomed old rivals Murrayfield Wanderers to a blustery Dalziel Park on a day more suited to kite flying than playing rugby. It was a crucial day in Dalziel's season and the team rose to the occasion with their best display of the year.

With the wind at their backs Murrayfield made an impressive start and used the considerable wind advantage to gain early territory in the Dalziel half but...

Dalziel secure crucial Bonus Point in Victory
Dalziel welcomed West of Scotland to Dalziel Park on Saturday, for another must win game in their battle against relegation. Dalziel kicked off into the low sun but it was West, with the sun at their back, that made the first error dropping the kick off and handing possession back to Dalziel.

From the scrum, Dalziel were able to build the phases show real attacking intent that has lacked in prev...

Dalziel Draw Derby
Dalziel took on Lanarkshire rivals East Kilbride on Saturday at a very wet Dalziel Park. The game started evenly with neither team making much headway in difficult conditions. Dalziel had the first opportunity for points when East Kilbride crept offside at a ruck. Ross Donnachie was unable to find the distance to make the long range kick. A further two opportunities were missed before East Kilbrid... More...

Great day for Dalziel on and off the park
On a lovely day for running rugby Dalziel welcomed the Lasswade players and their supporters to a magnificent looking Dalziel Park. Before the game the Lasswade supporters joined in with our beautiful and dazzling Dalziel Ladies during their ladies day lunch which were superbly organised by Nadine Clowes and catered for by chef Mitchell and his staff.

Now onto the rugby; Dalziel started the game...

Bonus point win for Dalziel
Dalziel welcomed Dunfermline to a wet Dalziel Park last Saturday. With players available again from injury and work commitments; expectations were high from the large home support. Dalziel started the game well and were soon on the attack. With the ball moving away quickly from contact Dalziel were in control and it was no surprise when Willie Steele powered through the visitor's defence to score ... More...

Inexperience the key but Dalziel make progress
Dalziel welcomed to Dalziel Park a much changed Perthshire squad from the one they played the last time they met. With players out through injury and work commitments the young Dalziel Team were up against it from the start against an experienced Perthshire team. To their credit the Dalziel players tackled hard and team defence at times was outstanding. Perthshire started well although they were h... More...

Brass neck of S1/S2 shines in a polished performance
Shyness, to be fair, has never really been an affliction of the boisterous S1/S2 combined squad.
But it was a mature and assertive performance, with a few individual streaks of brilliance, that earned this young Dalziel side a suitably bold victory against Cumbernauld.
On paper it looked like the Jordan Wallace show - and converting five of his own six tries this is a player who certainly isn’t...

Injuries and terrible discipline cost Dalziel
On a beautiful day for rugby and a big crowd in the stand; Dalziel welcomed Dumfries to Dalziel Park. This was always going to be a close game but injuries and terrible individual discipline was to prove costly for the home team.

Dalziel started the game well and looked like a cohesive, well structured unit in attack and defence. Some lovely breaks from Stand off Davie Aitken resulted in the Dum...

S1s man up as S2s lead the way
Their first foray into rugby on a full-size pitch on Scottish soil saw a man-sized performance from Dalziel’s S1 Midi squad.
Having received a baptism of fire into rugby-proper in Wales during their Dragons tour earlier this year, the battle hardened squad – along with their S2 counterparts - took on local rivals Hamilton in a quadruple whammy of matches.
First up were the S1s who were unlucky...
