S1/S2 update
Hear ye, hear ye! The following is an update of the plans for the S1/S2 midi rugby squads over the next couple of weeks -

(1) Sun 28th Sep - NO MATCH OR TRAINING THIS WEEKEND DUE TO THE SEMPTEMBER HOLIDAY - Enjoy the weekend off.

(2) Thur 2nd Oct - From Oct onwards we should have access to the 3G for training over the winter months from 7:30pm onwards - Training will therefore run at the sli...

Upcoming Social events.
The following social events are upcoming:

4th October - Players Sub Crawl
18th October - Ladies Day
7th November - Sportsman's dinner.

The Sportsman's Dinner

The event will be held in the usual venue –Colville Park Social & Recreational Club, Merry Street, Motherwell on the7th November, 7:00pm for 7:30 start. The Ticket price is £35 per head and tables of 10 are can be booked.

Inexperience the key but Dalziel make progress
Dalziel welcomed to Dalziel Park a much changed Perthshire squad from the one they played the last time they met. With players out through injury and work commitments the young Dalziel Team were up against it from the start against an experienced Perthshire team. Brass neck of S1/S2 shines in a polished performance
Shyness, to be fair, has never really been an affliction of the boisterous S1/S2 combined squad.
But it was a mature and assertive performance, with a few individual streaks of brilliance, that earned this young Dalziel side a suitably bold victory against Cumbernauld.

Match Squads for 13/9/14
1st XV, away at Hawick YM. 11:15 meet at the Civic, 3pm kick off.
2nd XV, home to Marr, 1:30 meet at Dalziel Park, 3pm kick off.
3rd XV, home to Cambuslang 2nds, 1:30 meet at Dalziel Park, 3pm kick off.

S1/S2 update
(1) Thur 11th Sep - Training starts at 7pm tonight and will be taken by Head of the Dalziel Rugby Youth Academy, Grant Talbot. This is to allow the S1/S2 and other Midi coaches to go though the manditory annual SRU rugby ready training which will also be at Dalziel Park at the same time.

Injuries and terrible discipline cost Dalziel
On a beautiful day for rugby and a big crowd in the stand; Dalziel welcomed Dumfries to Dalziel Park. This was always going to be a close game but injuries and terrible individual discipline was to prove costly for the home team.

S1/S2 update
Hear ye. Hear ye.

Sat 6th Sep is the annual Dalziel Rugby club fun day. As per last year the Mini section will kick off the activities at 11:30am on the main pitch and we would ask the S1/S2 players to meet at the same time for a sevens tournament from 11:45am till 1pm on the other half of the pitch. As intimated on previous posts, there will be BBQ , tea, coffee cake and candy and the clubhouse...

Saturday 6th September
Aside from the Family Funday (starting at 11:30), The First XV are at home to Dumfries (3pm Kick off, 1:15 meet at Dalziel Park), and Under-18s are also at home to Whitecraigs. Kick off for this game is tbc, but will be on the main pitch prior to the First XV game due to Motherwell Cricket Club playing their last league match of the season.
