HARLAND AND WOLFF Played at Motherwell. The home team with the aid of the wind held the advantage in the early stages but could not score. After some exciting play in Harland’s Corrie found the way clear and opened the scoring for Dalziel. The visitors became more aggressive and their speedy “threes" needed lot of watching. They were well held, however, and did not enualise. Dalziel held a point lead at the interval. In the second hah started away briskly and the visitors line underwent severe pressure. Dalziel went further ahead when D. Hamilton accepted pass from D. Moffat and went through score. This try was unconverted. Harland fought beck grimly and a trv was their reward. This try was converted. Dalzicl were not long in increasing their lead, tries H. Morton and D.Mackie coming in quick succession. J. F. Mills converted one. This was all the scoring, the final result being—Dalziel, 14: Harland and Wolff 5
Dalziel’e team was—F.Ballantyne; J. Wilson. G. Gilkison. D. Mackie and H.Morton; D. S. Moffat, and A.Corrie , A.McCulloch, .J.McLean. J. Walker. E.Rea . J. Hamilton, J.T. Mills, J. G. Maxwell and D. P. Hamilton. To-morrow's game Low Motherwell, and the visitors are Bearsden.
