S2s back down to earth at Kilmarnock

After the previous week’s high at Greenock the S2s came down to earth with defeat to a
well drilled if quite physical ( in the backs) Kilmarnock side .
With a few personnel changes from the previous outing Dalziel began well and after a few robust rucks went ahead through captain Alistair Mcfarlane who went over in the corner.
The home side soon responded and through poor tackling scored 3 quick ties via their strong running centre . Dalziel then rallied with Davidson then Bowles scoring well worked tries. The visitors scrum was performing well at this point taking most of the ball in the set piece. Killie then grabbed another try from their winger just before half time.

The second half started well for Dalziel with Campbell barging over. But just as in the first period the home backs ran the show and again pierced the Dalziel defence to score 3 more tries. Dalziel were not to be outdone and managed to get the final try of the match when Bowles nipped in under the posts with Campbell popping over the extras.
