S 2s Triumph at Greenock

Dalziel’s midi S2s kicked off the season with a resounding victory at Fort Matilda. Playing with the stiff breeze Greenock took the game to the their guests and were rewarded with a well worked try under the posts.

Welcome to the start of season !

Dalziel responded immediately and were soon in front: stand off Glover shimmied and dummied his way to the line for an equalising converted try. Josh Clark then put Dalziel into the lead. There then followed a purple patch from the visitors and Ben Macalorum raced over in the corner. At ths point Dalziel’s rucking and passing game were dictating the match. Greenock then rallied to score again but Dalziel kept at it and further scores were added by Andrew Morton , Iain Davidson Ben again with Ross Mitchell (brother of Anton) scoring the final try .

This was an excellent advert for youth rugby and we appreciated the hospitality afforded by Greenock RFC and wish a speedy recovery to their winger who went over on his ankle just on the final whistle.

Peter Morton ( Unbiased coach)
