As ever, the Schools Festival will take place the day before, on Friday 7 May.
Arrangements are now well under way but the following matters are important for all Club Members to note.
1. Graham Calder has a new e-mail address and I would be grateful if everybody could take a note of this for ongoing communication with him. His e-mail address is: grahamacalder@hotmail.com. Graham's telephone number is 0776 500 1709.
2. This year we are looking for volunteers from the Mums and Dads in the Mini and Midi to run the hot dog tent, which is the tent from which the actual players on the day receive their hospitality from the Club. Anybody prepared to help out should contact Graham as soon as possible.
As for the previous 19 years, a quality programme will be prepared. It is hoped to have photographs of every age group in the Mini and Midi from P3 through to under-18. If you have a business or have a friend/relative/business contact with a business who might be prepared to come in and sponsor, I would be grateful if you could contact me on 0771 781 0323 or my e-mail address of scott.duguid@wbcs.co.uk. We are still looking for a main sponsor for the event . A page of advertising will cost £120 with a half page at £70. There is no VAT.
In addition to all of the foregoing, both Friday and Saturday are days when the usual amount of willing help is required to lift and lay with a view to setting the event up and then dismantling the event afterwards before heading off for a well-earned and satisfying pint!
